“Turn the Gem” is John Emery’s practice of shifting perspective—taking ordinary moments and tilting them until the light catches something unseen. In his studio, curiosity is the compass.

Each painting is a flash—bold, bright, effervescent—reflecting some aspect of our lives lived in motion.

His work is unbound by style, rooted instead in wonder. Continually exploring new styles. Turn the Gem is both an invitation and declaration: to look again, and again, and then perhaps again.
